Dear Corps participant:

Early childhood teachers have been shouldering the burden
of low pay for far too long. Don't let the budget cuts cut
our stipends. Cuts of over 25 percent have been proposed
for the AB212 teacher stipend program. Don't let them take
this money away.

- Sign a postcard and collect more. The California Corps
postcard and legislative campaign is off and running? You
can get your postcards by emailing Katie Dettman at
kdettman@uwba.org or calling 415-808-4393

- Send us an email letting us know how the AB212 or CARES
stipend programs have helped you take care of children and
their families.

- Come to one of two Bay Area speaker trainings to prepare
to speak to your legislators in Sacramento. RSVP your
interest now! San Leandro, in the East Bay Area, Saturday,
March 1, half day. (Please see attached Save the Date
flyer). A second training in Contra Costa County, date and
place to be determined, will be held. Stay tuned.

- Join us in Sacramento. Take our message to Senate Pro Tem
Don Perata and Assemblyman Gene Mullin. Date to be
determined, in late March or early April. Stay tuned.

Please contact Tamara, Tiffany or Ansina for post Cards
