United Child Care Union (UCCU) News You Can Use *URGENT: Senate Labor Committee to vote on our bill, AB1164, on Wednesday On Wednesday, TOMORROW, the California Senate Labor Committee will vote on AB 1164 -- your bill that would give 40,000 family child care providers a voice in our businesses and the child care system by allowing us to choose union representation. Over the next 24 hours, we need calls and letters from providers all over California to key legislators in Sacramento to VOTE YES on AB1164: A Voice & A Choice for Family Child Care Providers. Together, we can do it! *Here is what you can do.* 1. CALL as many legislators on the list below as you can. Ask a parent, provider or friend to make a call, too. Every call makes a difference!
